Patrick and Vanessa could not have had a more perfect September day for their wedding. We had a breeze off the water and it was absolutely wonderful! I started off photographing Vanessa’s details and the girls together at the house they rented. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming when I first arrived. My best friend and talented photographer Danielle Strickler from Dani Strickler Photography came down from Harrisonburg, VA to help me second shoot. She had an absolute blast working with the guys!

I love that Patrick and Vanessa’s Wedding really focused on their love of family and their pets. Just wait till you see sweet Nugget! The vows that the two wrote for each other were meaningful and personal. Patrick’s Mom made the couple a beautiful quilt for their new life together and added her own personal message to it.

Vanessa chose to incorporate sunflowers in her bouquet and reception. Visually sunflowers are always beautiful and added a pop of color to the girls navy dresses. The reception was decorated with a country rustic feel. The long farmhouse tables and dark wooden chairs from Eastern Shore Events and Rentals fit the space perfectly. One of my favorite decorations was the strings of lights hung throughout the reception. It made the evening feel cozy and intimate.

I know one thing’s for sure; everyone had a blast at the reception. Mallards at the Wharf provided some absolutely delicious food and appetizers! I have to say I loved that this couple chose Corner Bakery Donuts over cake. If you haven’t had a Corner Bakery Donut you don’t know what you are missing. DJ Kelly Gaskill kept everyone up and on their feet the whole night. There wasn’t a single moment that the dance floor was empty. Hope you all enjoy!
